The Look of Quality – Cimier’s Swiss Heritage
Cimier – a French name typically meaning “crest” or “plume” – was created in 1958 by its founder Walter Frey in the Swiss watchmaking heartland of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Starting from a single workshop, Cimier has expanded across the Swiss watchmaking industry – creating watch movements, components, and developed into an independent watch brand, specializing in the production of high-quality watches for both men and women.
The Marriage of Heritage and Innovation
What sets apart Cimier from other traditional Swiss watch brands is an unrelenting focus on design. While maintaining the artisanal quality expected of Swiss watches, Cimier seamlessly merges high-grade materials and up-to-date techniques to form a unique balance. Non-conformist in style, each model in the collection is innovative, designed with an emphasis on immediate visual impact – things like open dials, sapphire crystals, and bold geometric structures that stand out.
The Key Models in the Collection
The collection of Cimier watches includes a wide variety of models ranging from elegant dress watches to sporty chronographs. Some highlights among Cimier’s watches include:
- Challenge Chronograph – a classic chronograph, refreshed with an intriguing case shape, made of surgical-grade stainless steel andavailable for both men and women.
- Oxygene – the watch still stands as a hallmark for Cimier. Powerful design, with a unique look thanks to its offset subdials and intertwined case design
- Torpedo – presentation of multi-layered sapphire dials and openwork movement with an intricate sun & moon finishing touch
- Rising Sun – a bold statement, featuring a truly unique color play inspired by the rising sun; machined from a solid block of stainless steel.
- Belle Époque – a traditional dress watch, born out of the brand’s passion for classic Swiss watchmaking. Vintage-inspired with an intricately carved lace pattern guilloché dial.
Last but not least, Cimier watches also stand apart for their method of construction. All watches are built-up from individual components, enabling Cimier to offer a multitude of designs and features. Whether its dress watches, chronographs, quartz movements or complications such as moon phase displays – each component is hand-crafted and assembled by the brand’s experienced watchmakers. If you’re looking for an uncommonly beautiful and unique watch for yourself or loved one, the offering of Swiss watch brand Cimier is definitely worth a look.
